At Shadowood Square, near where Glades Road meets State Road 7, the newest kitchen on the west side of Boca Raton takes its last order at 4 p.m. Maman opened there on Oct. 6. Its neighbor in the new-opening column, Crema Gourmet on West Yamato Road, is an all-day breakfast diner that scheduled its grand-opening weekend to begin Oct. 22.
Four dinner restaurants have also been announced for Glades Road this year. A Tuscan dining room and a Greek seafood grill are headed to Town Center at Boca Raton, a dim sum house to Uptown Boca, and a kosher schnitzel counter to Somerset Shoppes. As of late October, none of them has posted an opening date. So the part of this fall's west Boca food news you can actually use runs from 7:30 a.m. to mid-afternoon. That changes how you plan a week out here.
The Bakery That Ends the Drive to Rosemary Avenue
Maman began as a single counter in SoHo in 2014. Its West Boca café is at 9959 Glades Road, Suite 120, open seven days a week with indoor and patio seating, as Gold Coast Wave reported on Oct. 16. Before this opening, the closest Maman in Palm Beach County was the West Palm Beach café at 473 S. Rosemary Ave., a long run up I-95 or the Turnpike from the western neighborhoods. Boca Raton Magazine notes that another location is coming to Delray Beach's Sundy Village, so the brand is spreading through the county, and the Glades Road café is the one closest to the western communities.
The details from Maman's own West Boca page matter if you are deciding between a quick stop and a long lunch:
- Café hours: 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday
- Kitchen hours: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day, so a late lunch order has to go in before four
- Service: dine-in, pickup and delivery
- Room: vintage French furniture, florals, imported tile and a children's section shared with a neighboring kids' business
- Phone: 561-235-5132
One detail stretches the café past a coffee run. Maman has a bar that pours beer and wine and advertises a happy hour. With a 5 p.m. close, that is a short window. Still, it makes Maman the newest place on this stretch of Glades Road where you can get a glass of wine after work, and it opened before any of the announced dinner rooms.
The opening itself leaned on the plaza. For the Oct. 6 ceremony, children's clothing store Tecomoabesos and jewelry store Hustle + Heart each ran a pop-up, and the first 100 Maman guests got a chocolate chip cookie and a tote bag. Shadowood Square handled it as a shared event for the whole plaza.
A Second Breakfast Room on Yamato Road
Crema Gourmet is the other daytime arrival. Boca Raton Magazine describes it as an all-day breakfast diner inspired by European cafés, with a long, health-minded menu. That includes ahi tuna toast, a Greek omelette and turkey scrambled eggs, plus bowls and sandwiches on multigrain baguettes at lunch. It is at 3011 W. Yamato Road, and you can check its menu and hours at cremagourmet.com.
Crema planned four days of opening events starting Thursday, Oct. 22. On Thursday, the first 100 guests spending $15 or more were to get a tote bag and a chocolate chip cookie. Croissant and muffin giveaways were planned for Friday through Sunday. The magazine reported that Palm Beach County Vice Mayor Marci Woodward and fellow commissioners were expected at the Thursday event. The offer matches Maman's almost exactly: tote, cookie, first 100 guests. That makes two morning restaurants opening in the same month on the same side of town with nearly the same welcome.
Maman is on Glades near State Road 7, and Crema is on Yamato. Together they put new breakfast choices on both of west Boca's main east-west roads within about three weeks. No dinner restaurant on the west side has opened on that timeline.
Four Dinner Rooms, No Dates Yet
Evening spots dominate west Boca's food announcements this year. Here is where each one stood in the most recent coverage:
| Restaurant | Where | What it serves | Latest status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Felice | Town Center at Boca Raton, 6000 Glades Road | Tuscan Italian, handmade pasta, 150 seats across the dining room, bar and patio | "Fall or winter" estimate in September; Simon still lists "Coming Soon" |
| Limani Grille | Town Center at Boca Raton, 6000 Glades Road | Mediterranean, focused on Greek-style charcoal-grilled seafood, outdoor patio | Aiming for fall 2026 as of August; Simon still lists "Coming Soon" |
| Nana's Dim Sum & Dumplings | Uptown Boca, 9690 Glades Road, former Zen Sushi + Robata Grill space | Handmade dim sum, soup dumplings, buns, noodles, Peking duck | No opening date announced as of Oct. 6 |
| Holy Schnitzel | Somerset Shoppes, 8903 Glades Road, Suite G9, former Boca Grill space | Hand-breaded schnitzel, sandwiches, bowls, falafel, kosher fare | No opening date in the July report |
The Town Center pair
Town Center is getting the two biggest projects at once. In September, the Palm Beach Post reported that Limani Grille and Felice had both posted their next locations as "coming soon" at the mall's 6000 Glades Road address, with opening dates still to be announced. According to the Boca Raton Observer, Felice is a family-owned restaurant group founded on Manhattan's Upper East Side in 2007, with locations in New York, Connecticut, West Palm Beach and Miami. Mall shoppers can already try it in West Palm Beach or Miami. In Boca, the Felice listing on the mall's site still shows "Coming Soon" in place of store hours.
Limani Grille's timing has always been a target, not a date. Boca Raton Magazine reported in August that it was aiming for fall 2026, and the mall directory still lists it as coming soon.
The Glades Road conversions
The other two are moving into rooms that already held restaurants. Nana's, which the Boca Raton Observer describes as a Colorado-based chain with locations in several states, is taking over the former Zen Sushi + Robata Grill space at Uptown Boca. Holy Schnitzel, founded in 2015 by siblings Sivan and Ofeer Benaltaba, is getting ready to take the Boca Grill space at Somerset Shoppes, the Observer reported in July. Neither has an announced date. When they do open, Glades Road gets dim sum and kosher counter service, two options the new cafés don't cover.
The Dated Evenings Are Downtown for Now
The evening plans that do have dates in November are run by the city and held east of the west Boca plazas. The City of Boca Raton's Night Market returned Oct. 1 at Sanborn Square, 72 N. Federal Highway. Its next nights are Thursday, Nov. 5, and Thursday, Dec. 10, from 6 to 9 p.m., with food, artists, makers and music. The city's announcement says BocaConnect rides to and from the market are free.
Sunday mornings have a steady anchor too. The Boca Green Market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 5th Ave Shops, 1954 NE Fifth Ave., with more than 65 vendors, and its posted season runs Sept. 27 through May 2.
Put together, a week in late October and early November looks like this for someone living off Glades or Yamato:
- Weekday mornings: Maman opens at 7:30 a.m., with the kitchen running 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or try Crema Gourmet on West Yamato for an all-day breakfast menu.
- Weekday afternoons: Maman's bar and happy hour, with the café closing at 5 p.m.
- Thursday, Nov. 5: The Night Market at Sanborn Square from 6 to 9 p.m., with free BocaConnect rides to and from the market.
- Sunday mornings: The Boca Green Market at 5th Ave Shops from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
If Felice, Limani Grille, Nana's and Holy Schnitzel open on the schedules they have hinted at, the west side's evenings will fill in from Town Center outward along Glades Road. Until those dates are posted, the new places on this side of town where you can actually sit down are the two breakfast rooms on Glades and Yamato.
At The Paiz Group, we follow these openings because they change your daily routine before they show up anywhere else, from your morning coffee to whether dinner means a drive downtown.
